Uncle John's Blues Band is from Kuopio, Finland. Its members have been active in Finnish blues scene already from the 1970's.
The members of the band are:
- Ewen MacDonald, vocals.
- Tuomo Salo, guitar & vocals.
- Seppo Örmälä, guitar.
- Pekka Mustonen, bass.
- Jarmo Saarti, percussion.
- Markku Sirviö, keyboards.
- Pertti Rytkönen, bass and harmonica.
The speciality of UJBB is pharmacological blues. We have been involved in a project that has published a CD called Beta-Blocker Blues, full of pharmacological blues songs that are available from here: http://www.oppi.uku.fi/opk/video/ujbb/
